The All in for Kansas Kids Child Care Health Insurance Reimbursement Program (CHIRP) will provide reimbursements to Kansas child care providers up to $3,600 annually per child care provider to assist with the cost of purchasing health insurance for the child care provider only. Child care providers are eligible under the following conditions: 1.) Full-time or part-time child care professional employed at childcare facility located in the State of Kansas; 2.) Enrolled in Marketplace or private health insurance 3.) currently or is expecting to pay premiums out-of-pocket for the child care provider's portion of health insurance coverage during the 2025-2026 grant period; and 4.) Currently serves as a child care professional in an educator role or childcare provider role.
If accepted into the program, reimbursement checks will be issued quarterly while the individual is employed as a childcare provider October 2025 - September 2026. We can only reimburse providers for out-of-pocket premium expenses required for maintaining health insurance for the child care provider.
